This book is a compilation of eight different contributors in the House Church movement. Each contributor has a little different view and perspective on house churches. Important concepts coming from the book, a house church is the New Testament pattern for churches. They have an unwavering love for Jesus and for his people. It is important to follow only Apostolic traditions. Paul said follow my example 1 Corinthians 11:1. In the book it is advocated that the Lord’s Supper is a full meal. The Lord’s Supper celebrated this way creates unity and love.
The authors also advocate for participatory meetings. These meetings are primarily for encouragement and not worship. Church leaders lead and do no not rule others. Leaders are to be servants. Church meetings are different than ministry meetings. Most of the western church is never been to church but only two ministry meetings. When one person is in charge and teaching or preaching is central; it is a ministry meeting. When the believers are participating and doing mutual edification it is a church meeting.
